چکیده
This study mapped the personality and genetics of risky excitement-seekers focusing on skydiving behavior. We compared 298 skydivers to demographically matched controls across NEO Personality Inventory-3 domains, facets, 240 items. The most significant item-level effects were aggregated into a poly-item score skydiving-associated markers (Study 1), where higher scores describe individuals who enjoy situations but have no self-control issues. marker was associated with greater physical activity, rate traumatic injuries, better mental health in sample 3558 adults 2). From genetic perspective, we behavior 19 candidate variants that previously been linked excitement-seeking 1). In Study 2, predicted E5: Excitement-seeking from multiple risk-taking polygenic scores, using publicly available summary data genome-wide association studies. Phenotypic associations suggest is specific—perhaps more functional—form excitement-seeking, which may nevertheless lead injuries.

Addictive behaviors and addiction-prone personality traits: associations with a dopamine multilocus genetic profile.
The purpose of this study was to examine reward-related genetic risk for addictive behaviors in a healthy community sample (n=217) of men and women. We tested a mediation model predicting that a quantitative multilocus genetic profile score - reflecting the additive effects of alleles known to confer relatively increased dopamine signaling in the ventral striatum - would relate positively to a ...

This unprecedented research endeavors to investigate the relationship between dark personality traits (i.e., narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy) and corruption intention through the mediation of anxiety. Based on the resource conservation theory, it is hypothesized that those higher in dark personality traits are more inclined to corrupt when they feel anxious. Having collected data...

abstract previous studies on willingness to communicate (wtc) have shown the influence of many individual or situational factors on students’ tendency to engage in classroom communication, in which wtc has been viewed either at the trait-level or situational level. however, due to the complexity of the notion of willingness to communicate, the present study suggests that these two strands are ...
